In order to stimulate students’ enthusiasm of memorizing English words, expand their English vocabulary, and to test the students' English basic skills, NTFLS organized the annual English Vocabulary Competition.
本次参与竞赛的是IG年级全体同学，竞赛采取笔试的形式，意在考察学生的词汇量及对单词在具体语境中是否能灵活运用。学生需在规定时间内翻译出规定数量的单词。
This competition is for all students of IG grade. It is in the form of written test, which aims to test students' vocabulary and whether they can flexibly use the words in specific context. Students are required to translate a specified number of words from Chinese to English in a specified time.
同学们在赛前就为此次竞赛积极地做准备，积累词汇量。赛中更是全身心投入，就算遇到难题也会积极思考，现场气氛紧张有序，大家都全力以赴力争优异成绩。赛后，经评委老师们认真评阅后得出最终成绩，学校为获奖的同学颁发了荣誉证书和奖品。
The students prepared actively and accumulated a lot of vocabulary before the competition. During the competition, students devoted themselves to it and would think positively when encountering difficult problems. The atmosphere was tense and orderly, and everyone tried their best to achieve excellent results. After the competition, the English teachers reviewed the papers carefully and gave the final results. Our school awarded the certificates of honor and prizes to the winners.

我校2021词霸大赛圆满落幕，本次竞赛不仅激发了学生学习英语的积极性，也增强了他们学习英语的自信心。“千里之行，始于足下。”只有积累充足的词汇量，才能使我们在英语学习的道路上千里之行。
2021 NTFLS English Vocabulary Contest was successfully, which not only stimulated students' enthusiasm in learning English, but also enhanced their confidence in English. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Only by accumulating sufficient vocabulary can we go a thousand miles on the way of Learning English.
