In order to further improve the teaching quality and comprehensive ability of all the teachers, NTFLS has carried out a series of teaching activities such as having lecture, lesson preparation and lesson recording before the beginning of the semester.

《课堂提问那些事》
我校很荣幸邀请到南通市教师发展学院冒继承副院长，为我们开展了题为《课堂提问那些事》的讲座。冒继承副院长倡导老师们运用情景式教学模式，让学生们更加贴近社会，他从教师在课堂上的问题设置、巧妙地提出问题，并从学生的回答中发现问题等几大点展开了清晰的理论，让我校的老师们学到了很多，也将灵活应用于今后教学中。
Our school was honored to invite Mao Jicheng, the vice-president of Nantong Teacher Development College to give the lecture of Classroom Inquiry to our teachers. He guided ourteachers to use the situational teaching model to make the students closer to the society. He developed a clear theory from several major points, such as the teacher's question setting in the classroom, cleverly asking questions, and finding problems from the students' answers, etc. Our teachers have gained a lot from it and would apply it flexibly to the future teaching.
升学指导分享
为了让各学科老师更全面地了解学生申请大学的流程与要求，此次特意安排了一场升学指导分享讲座，我校升学指导May老师作为此次主讲人，她分别从留学概况、本届毕业生签证办理、2023届毕业生的申请以及其他常见的问题几个方面做了详细地讲解，让各学科老师对于学生的升学流程和不同国家大学的要求有了充分的了解，从而在教学过程中更有效地帮助学生。
In order to make the subject teachers have a more comprehensive understanding of the process and requirements of the students to apply for the university, our school’s counselor May have given a detailed introduction of the general situation of studying abroad in different countries, the visa application for the class of 2022, the unvisity application for the class of 2023 and other common questions, so that teachers could have a full understanding of the process of studying abroad and the requirements of universities in different countries, so as to help students more effectively in the teaching process.
各学科备课、录课活动
此次备课的小组分为：英语组，数学组，物理组，化学组，经济、商学、会计组，体育组。本次活动形式首先由每小组进行话题抽签，确定好话题各学科组开始自行备课，每位老师以仿照真实的课堂形式进行视频录课。
The preparation group is divided into: English group, Mathematics group, Physics group, Chemistry group, Economics, Business and Accounting group,Sports group. In this activity, each group drew lots for the topics, and prepare lessons by themselves after the topic was determined. Each subject teacher recorded lessons by video in the form of a real class.
最后，老师们对录课视频进行了复盘分析，各教科组间也进行了经验交流与分享。教学总监Rick老师为大家做了课堂的点评、指导与总结。
Finally, the subject leader made a review analysis of the video recording, and the teaching groups also exchanged and shared experience. And Rick, the teaching director, made comments, guidance and summary for the activity.
本次系列教学活动既能提高教师的教学积极性和综合能力，也能促进教师之间学科专业水平的提高，还能给教师们提供展示自己的平台，激发自己的潜能。并为新学期的教学工作提前展开充足的准备。
This series of teaching activities can not only improve the teaching enthusiasm and comprehensive ability of teachers, but also promote the improvement of subject professional level among teachers. It can also provide teachers with a platform to show themselves and stimulate their potential. And the teaching research activities have made an adequate preparation for the new semester’s teaching work in advance.
