迎着清晨的阳光，上午九点，南通崇川外国语学校全体师生齐聚操场。在这风和日丽的一天，我校迎来了第三届体育节开幕式。
Under the shining morning sunshine, all the teachers and students in Nantong Chongchuan Foreign Language School gathered in the school playground at 9 am of October 29. In such a beautiful day, NTFLS welcomed the opening ceremony of the third Sports Festival.
各班方阵精彩入场，他们发挥自己的特色各展所长：各种可爱的玩偶、迪士尼在逃公主、名门绅士与淑女的精致优雅……各班用心的设计让评委席掌声不断。
Each class got dressed up and entered in an orderly manner. They brought us the splendid and creative performances, showing each class’s characteristics. Students were dressed up as different kinds of lovely dolls, beautiful Disney princess, famous gentlemen, exquisite and elegant ladies, etc, which gained a lot of applause and cheers from teachers and students. We were all very proud of our students.
各班精彩的表演更是将现场气氛推向了高潮。他们或是展现国家的文化；或带来歌舞串烧；又或是紧跟时事，再现经典场面……创意十足的表演展现了我校培养“多元文化的现代中国精英”的理念。
The wonderful performances of each class pushed the ceremony to a climax. The creative performances reflect the concept of NTFLS—We are committed to cultivated the multicultural modern Chinese elites.
Kevin校长说：在提高学生教育教学水平的同时，更要提倡我们的学生做到德、智、体、美、劳全面发展。全面提高学生良好的素质。他希望各班的体育健儿在运动场上一展雄姿，赛出水平，赛出友谊，赛出风格，发扬奥运精神。
最后，Kevin感谢所有参与筹备的老师和学生志愿者们，预祝今年体育节圆满成功。
Mr. Kevin, the principal of NTFLS, delivered the opening speech. Kevin mentioned that in addition to improving the level of students education, we should improve students’ overall qualities and promote their development in an all-round way. He hoped that all the athletes of each class would carry forward the Olympic spirit by showing their talents on the playground, competing and cooperating. Finally, Kevin thanked all the teachers and students volunteers involved in the preparation and wished this year’s Sports Festival a complete success.
We witnessed the continuous efforts of the athletes. We could see that the teachers and students of NTFLS united, cooperated and cared for each other. Let’s look forward to the next year’s sports festival together!
